How Corner Cube Prisms Work:
Corner cube prisms consist of three sides at right angles to each other, thus creating the corner section of a cube.
When a ray of light is incident to the aperture of the prism it reflects off one of these surfaces internally and in turn is reflected twice more before exiting the cube in the opposite direction to that it entered at.
The out-coming image from a corner cube prism is rotated by 180 and in a direction parallel to the incident beam, despite variation in the angle of incidence or the alignment of the cube.
